The Near Future Looks So Hot
THE FUTURE SOUNDS REGENERATIVE
Last month I had a double dose of awesomeness, attending The Lumineers concert whilst learning about Sound Future: Reimagining live events as catalysts for planetary health. Its flagship program, Surf & Turf, is a first-of-its-kind global restoration initiative that connects concerts, festivals, and games with local environmental action — from urban farming in Chicago to coral reef restoration in Mexico and more. Every project is transparently tracked with satellite monitoring, so fans and partners see tangible results in real time. By weaving restoration into cultural experiences, Sound Future replaces doom-and-gloom narratives with joyful, accessible action, turning the energy of live events into lasting impact.
FASHION FORWARD
MY HIGH HORSE
Ok, anyone who has seen my horse knows she isn't very high, but she is gorgeous and so is this equestrian-inspired line of sustainable staples. The Surrey is a luxury apparel brand with a conscious. Founded by legendary former Stella McCartney stylist Emma Werner. Using highest quality organic or recycled fibers, the super chic pieces are 3D knitted in Malibu or sewn in LA. At Near Future I was wearing The Surrey collared shirt poncho and the fantastic organic denim jeans are from Sandro.
MOON WALK
Near Future Summit '23 alum Simplifyber has partnered with Ganni to kick off a one-of-a-kind sneaker - the Moon Shoe. Using upcycled Ganni denim, FSC-certified uppers, bamboo lining, and sustainably-derived sugarcane insole it's safe to say this shoe is extra ecofab: Get on their list.
MATERIALISM
Sitting at the intersection of science and fashion, Pangaia is bringing planet positive designs down to earth. This season's fall edit includes the Heavyweight tracksuit made from 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled cotton, structured to hold it's shape. Perfect for brisk morning walks.

GETTING DOWN & DIRTY
Special shout out to our NF Volunteer Day participants who gathered on a blazing hot day to beautify Rancho Compasion. The team and barn pals are endlessly grateful. But, don't fret if you couldn't make it.
You can organize your own volunteer day or donate to Rancho Compasion, a 501c3 animal sanctuary located in the beautiful west Marin hills. And/or join the 10-year anniversary Cirque du Sanctuary "gala" they are hosting on November 15 in West Marin.
